Is NHP a mandatory program?
It is a voluntary program to help nurses get the help they need to recover from substance use and/or mental health disorders.
How will NHP help me?

Am I able to continue my nursing practice while participating in NHP?
What services does NHP pay for and what services do I pay for?
The cost will vary depending on your needs. Your case manager will explain specific costs and how they are covered. You will not be charged for the NHP case management services and/or any independent medical examinations requested by the program.
My employer has questions about the program. Who should they call?
Your employer can contact NHP directly to learn more about the program.
What should I do if I am in crisis and I cannot reach my case manager?
If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact 911, your local crisis line, or go to your local hospital for assistance. Once your crisis has been addressed, your case manager will assist you in accessing resources you may need.
